Welcome to "HOME DON LUIGI," a unique retreat located on the historic Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, just a short walk from the monumental 17th-century Palazzo Nicotera complex, the main street, and the city's Duomo. The name of the property is an affectionate tribute to my grandfather, "Don Luigi," who used to walk from "Niola," a neighborhood near the Norman castle, to the city center, delivering fresh milk door-to-door. The building housing this delightful "boutique suite" is historically known as "Le Monachelle" (The Little Nuns), and it originally housed an orphanage managed by the Congregation of the "Daughters of Charity of the Most Precious Blood," hence the name "Le Monachelle." This is where the "Wheel of Innocents" was located. The 55 sqm apartment is a perfect blend of history and modernity, with bright and elegant interiors, furnished in white to enhance space and light, enriched by beautiful exposed wooden beams that tell the story of the village's past. It features an intimate master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a separate living room with a TV for relaxation, and an entrance with a separate dining area equipped for breakfast and quick meals. Enjoy the atmosphere of the historic center by looking out from the balcony and strolling along the street to reach, just a few meters away, the main corso, artisan shops, typical restaurants, and local eateries. Parking Note: Being located in the authentic historic center, it is still accessible by car via the single-lane road coming from the north. You can park for free both near Via Garibaldi and on Corso Giovanni Nicotera, with the possibility of loading and unloading luggage a few minutes' walk away.
